With more and more evidence coming out regarding Jan 6th, it is certain the events that occurred that day were a well orchestrated trap, setup by the federal government, with the intent to instill fear and terror in ordinary citizens as to discourage them from exercising their right to publicly express dissatisfaction with the government. As an effort to smooth the transition from democratic capitalism to totalitarian socialism.
The QAnon conspiracy, and it’s followers, claim Q is a modern-day prophet and even go to the extent of describing the claims of the theory as “prophecies”. Unfortunately, as with other conspiracy theories and belief systems, it is a directed thought pattern, and often neglects to see the situation from all angles. One of these unconsidered angles is the position QAnon played in the events of Jan 6th.
The authenticity and intention of ‘Q’ has remained suspect since the theory’s conception. It is unquestionable the occurrence of the phenomenon has had a negative effect on the political atmosphere and integrity of the conservative movement. It has also performed severe damage to the lives of thousands of individuals who happened to be sucked into its radical beliefs, extremist assumptions, and cult like obedience.
Without the outrageously extreme claims made by QAnon, the probability of an event such as Jan 6th from occurring are less likely to have occurred. The conspiracy played a role in encouraging extreme acts of violence and built suppressed rage in its followers. This suppression of rage created off of false assumptions only needed a catalyst to cause an explosion of violence.
It is not just how QAnon shaped the perception of its followers that is damning to the theory, but it is what QAnon did not do which causes harm to its legitimacy. This is because the prophet known as Q, who is claimed to have perfect knowledge concerning the operations of the deep state, totally failed the movement by neglecting to warn its followers of the impending trap that awaited them at the capital that day.
It is this lack or neglect of action, which is the most damaging to the QAnon conspiracy theory. It would be analogous to Jesus leading his apostles into the custody of the Roman soldiers. Furthermore, it contradicts every claim that is made about Q and his access to the inner workings of the deep state. If Q had the knowledge concerning the events of Jan 6th, then Q would have been morally obligated to share this knowledge, and prevent it from happening. But, he didn’t, and instead was silent during its occurrence.
Unfortunately, this factual paradox will have no effect on the followers of QAnon, who have become psychologically dependent on maintaining an illusion of validity concerning the theory. Their egos are so heavily invested, shattering the paradigm will be destructive to their own self-image and worth. Which is often the case with extremist conspiracy theories.
